One of them is the huge mural painted on the exterior of the Tsunami restaurant on West Street of Annapolis, shows a golden faced Buddha with a screaming nurse from the massacre scene in the soviet movie of 1925, which was simultaneously praised and criticised. Huntington justified it by saying, "Annapolis fancies itself an art town and progressive but for me, I just really want to kick the door down.”.

"A lot of artists have just laid down and given up because it's so difficult to do. Now, artists are going to work a little harder because part of this wall is knocked down."

"He's so bold and daring with the chances he takes and inevitably he's so successful. You just don't come across Jeff Huntington type of talent. It's so rare it's like Picasso", says Bill Newman, a former Corcoran Professor.
Arthur Kwon Lee, a former student of Huntington's, described his work as open minded.

"I call it visual chess. It's more of like a dialogue series with painting, this pull and pull with boundaries. He's sharing this really beautiful process with the public," he said.
